* Which browser should I be using?
goodguides.com.au works best when viewed in:
- Internet Explorer 8 (internet videos cannot always be displayed on IE8)
- Internet Explorer 9
- Mozilla Firefox 6
- Chrome 13
- Safari 5.

Ensure you have entered all the characters, and entered as case sensitive.
The following variations may also be worth trying:

* My login doesn't work from last year?
The site content and layout has all changed - we hope you like it. To make this happen, we've had to change a few systems in the background. For security, we have not transferred over your details from last year, so simply grab your new code from your book or iPhone app and create a new login.
* Why do I have to pay?
The Good Food Guide reviewing team has visited every restaurant reviewed, dining anonymously each time and paying every bill in full. Each three-hat candidate is visited numerous times, likewise many of the two- and one-hatters. We also visit many, many more restaurants than will fit into this book. Each restaurant is scored according to set criteria. But the ultimate criterion for selection is whether we would recommend it to a friend.
* Why are restaurants in my local area not listed?
The Good Food Guide aims to bring you only the best of the best in your state. If you know of a restaurant that's new, improved or should be included, please do contact us on editorial@goodguides.com.au for consideration.
* How do I get my restaurant to be reviewed?
We're always happy to hear about new and/or improved restaurants. Send through as many details including restaurant background, chef/owner information and contact details to editorial@goodguides.com.au for consideration.
* Restaurant information is incorrect?
We aim to have correct information like opening hours, typical prices, chef/owner names listed. If details have changed or are incorrect since the guide was published, please do contact us on help@goodguides.com.au and we'll to have that updated on the website and apps as soon as possible.
* Why can I not see the videos?
Most videos (not just GFG TV) will not display in IE8. Try upgrading your Internet Explorer version or viewing through an alternative browser.
FAQ's for the apps
* Where are my Favourites from last year?
The content for the book and app is fresh from last year. Each establishment, regardless of whether it's a new entry, or featured for many years, is reviewed each and every year. This is why we don't transfer Favourites across editions.
* Why are the maps incorrect?
The maps are automatically generated from Google based on the address we publish. Sometimes we add more descriptions in the address to help you find your way, but they may not be recognised by Google.
If you do find an incorrect map location, please do contact help@goodguides.com.au and we'll aim to have it corrected as soon as possible.
* How do I change or remove my app subscription?
All app subscriptions and payments are managed through Apple. Go to iTunes > iTunes Store Home > Quick Links > Account > Settings > Subscriptions: Manage > Locate the app and select Auto-Renewal Off
* I've subscribed but the reviews are not displaying.
If your subscription via Apple is still valid, but the reviews are no longer displaying, it may be because you have updated your device or iOS settings.
Try: Open the app > Settings > Subscription > Restore Subscription Settings.
If that doesn't work, try deleting the app, reinstalling the sample app from iTunes and following the above instructions.

* How do I take a screengrab?
Press the home and the power button at the same time, the screen will then flash and you you should hear a 'camera click' sound. The image/screengrab will be saved in your Photos. Simply email the images from there.
* Why has the Apple iOS app changed to a subscription service?
The app has changed to allow our Apple customers to choose the length of time they would like to access the content. So whether you're in town for a weekend, or a long standing resident, you can choose the subscription package that suits you best. Having a subscription package also means that we can now support the iOS app (as opposed to previously where old app functions cannot be updated with iOS fixes).
